Rupert Muldoon:

‘Green River II was painted whilst standing underneath an old plane tree, with its branches dipping into the water and the light came from behind. It was quite hard to see where the leaves in the light, and the lights on the water began and ended. So I wanted to create more of an abstract painting that captured this.’
