18th Century Louis XVI Period Giltwood Barometer

A very fine late eighteenth century Louis XVI Period giltwood barometer, the carved acanthus chapeau cresting above banners, a gun barrel and laurel swags, all set upon a segmental egg and dart cornice, the painted dial within scrolling brackets, above a rectangular thermometer plate with supporting acanthus scrolls and terminating in a chamfered plinth of guilloche and foliage with pine cone finial.
