A charming early nineteenth Empire Period walnut gueridon of soft colour, the circular overhanging top above a frieze, supported upon three turned column supports, terminating in a base of conjoined stretchers.
Made by a country ebeniste at the turn of the nineteenth century, this circular occasional table has a softness of colour and simplicity of form that would lend itself well to a variety of interior settings both ancient and modern. Its form is wholly Classical: the column supports are inspired by those on grander city made pieces.
