An early 20th century side table in the Queen Anne taste, the demi-lune top above a frieze with two short drawers and two dummy drawers, all raised upon three cabriole legs and decorated throughout with gilt chinoiseries upon a black ground.
This table is identical in form and decoration to a pair of Queen Anne semi-circular black japanned side tables, circa 1705, offered for sale by Sotheby’s, London, 1st May 1987 (estimate £10,000-15,000).
