A pair of mid-20th century bedside tables, each having a frieze with central drawer, set upon faux bamboo turned legs, supporting a lower shelf.
These tables belong to the classic revival tradition promoted shortly after the Second World War by interior decorators such as John Fowler, Sibyl Colefax and Nancy Lancaster, whose work was very much an idealised strand of the English country house style.
