A Louis XVI Sofa or Canape with elegantly moulded frame carved with bead decoration surrounding the cartouche-shaped padded back. The out-swept padded arm with scrolled fronts supported on similarly bead-decorated arm supports. Upholstered in natural vintage linen.
The style and construction of the piece most resembles the work of Nicolas Parmantier, 1738-1801, Menuisier à Lyon, received Master in 1768.
