An Irish Oval Border Glass Mirror

An oval mirror in the Irish George III manner, having a border of faceted glass beads around the central plate.
Of recent manufacture.
Although of recent manufacture, this mirror is an accurate imitation of a rare Irish form from the George III period. Beaded glass border mirrors appear to have been produced uniquely in Ireland int he 1770s and 1780s and are generally of oval form. Some examples even incorporate an attached cut-glass hanging chandelier for the benefit of added light reflection.
