An impressive early 20th century French Empire style figured mahogany and ormolu mounted pedestal desk, the top retaining the original tooled leather writing surface, having a pair of writing slides to either side and one long and two short drawers, set upon twin pedestals mounted with Doric columns and finely cast and gilded capitals, the front, sides and back panels all having finely chased gilt metal mounts in the Classical taste. In the manner of Bernard Molitor.
