Pimlico Road Design District events for the London Design Festival

The Pimlico Road Design District is celebrating its first year as part of London Design Festival (16 – 24 September) and a series of events has been organised. The area, home to our own iconic store, has long been known as one of London’s most important and well-established areas for interior design, art, antiques and fine furniture.

As the festival site puts it:
“Just a stone’s throw from Sloane Square lies an inspiring, creative and commercial hub: the Pimlico Road Design District.”

LINLEY, Robert Kime, Rose Uniacke, FBC London, HOWE London, HOWE at 36 Bourne Street, Promemoria, Soane Britain are some of the businesses involved. Throughout the festival, our own gallery Timothy Langston Fine Art & Antiques will be open and keen to showcase our selection of decorative objects and antiques. But also there are many different events in their breakfast series throughout the festival. The following caught our eye in particular and are well worth supporting:

Founded in the 1930s, this is one of the longest established interior decorating firms in Britain. Director Emma Burns will be giving a Q&A on the subject of Timeless Decoration.

Will Fisher, founder of Jamb, has acquired a remarkable collection of antique fireplaces including Georgian and Regency mantels. There will be a Q&A on Country House Style with Jamb owners.

Tickets for all breakfast events are £10, and all proceeds go to the charity The Passage.
